Soletanche Bachy strengthens its presence in the Czech Republic with the acquisition of Čeněk a Ježek
Soletanche Bachy announces the acquisition of Čeněk a Ježek, a foundation engineering company based in the Czech Republic. This strategic move consolidates the Group’s foothold in a promising market.
In late May 2026, Čeněk a Ježek joined Soletanche Bachy, marking a new milestone in the group’s expansion in Central Europe.
Founded in 1993, the company is headquartered in Prague and operates throughout the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Recognized as one of the market leaders, Čeněk a Ježek generates annual revenue of some €20 million and enjoys a solid reputation for quality and reliability. It is particularly distinguished by its expertise in bored pipe piles, Berlin walls, and small-scale drilling operations (anchors, micropiles, micro-Berlin walls). The company also relies on a high-performance fleet of equipment and an in-house design office dedicated to special foundations.
Led by Martin Švec, Čeněk a Ježek has approximately 40 employees.
Having been present in the Czech Republic since the early 1990s, this acquisition further strengthens Soletanche Bachy’s local presence, and opens up new development opportunities for Čeněk a Ježek, drawing on Soletanche Bachy’s full range of expertise and technologies.
Welcome to all the teams at Čeněk a Ježek!

Julien Dubreuil, Director of the Eastern & Central Europe and Greater Middle East zone at Soletanche Bachy, stated:
“We are delighted to welcome Čeněk a Ježek’s teams to Soletanche Bachy. As a leading company in the Czech Republic, Čeněk a Ježek brings its know-how and technical expertise to a promising market. This acquisition will strengthen our presence in the country while creating synergies with our other subsidiaries operating in the region.”
Martin Švec, CEO of Čeněk a Ježek, said:
“I am convinced that our cooperation strengthens our market position and opens up new growth opportunities.”
