Petra Imperiale: a new icon of Asunción, founded by Soletanche Bachy Paraguay
Soletanche Bachy Paraguay has recently completed the foundation works for the Petra Imperiale project, one of the most important real estate developments in the country. Once completed, the Petra Imperiale residential tower—with 73 floors and a height of 250 meters—will rank among the four tallest skyscrapers in South America and will be the tallest building in Paraguay.
The foundation engineering was developed by Soletanche Bachy AUPA’s Engineering Department and subsequently reviewed and validated by the client’s structural and geotechnical consultants. The scope included the execution of 65 barrettes, 40 meters deep, with variable thicknesses ranging from 50 to 100 cm, designed to support the main tower. In addition, Kelly-type bored piles were installed for the foundations of the corporate building, which will house a 24-story hotel.
The project was carried out in close coordination with the client, Petra Urbana, which entrusted project management to the AGB–Tecinci Consortium, following the guidelines established by the structural design team AHFSA, led by Eng. Alberto Fainstein, who is responsible for the technical parameters and design criteria. The supervisory company CRONOS, part of the Petra Group, also participates in the project, overseeing compliance with the applicable technical specifications and regulations.
