Soletanche Bachy Paraguay successfully delivers the Paseo 55 project in Asunción

Soletanche Bachy Paraguay has successfully completed the design and construction of the deep foundations and retaining structures for Paseo 55, an iconic real estate development located in Asunción, Paraguay.

Developed by the Blue Tower Ventures group, the project features a 55-storey, 212-metre-tall tower. Soletanche Bachy Paraguay was initially tasked with conducting a pressuremeter testing campaign to supplement the geotechnical report, followed by the design and construction of the retaining system and foundations.

The design was carried out by the Technical Department of Soletanche Bachy AUPA, based in Buenos Aires. Execution was made possible through the mobilization of personnel and resources from Soletanche Bachy AUPA (Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay), as well as support from the IBAM region.

The retaining system for the parking structure consists of a discontinuous wall of 0.50 m diameter CFA piles (Continuous Flight Auger piles). The tower foundations include 44 barrettes, each 2.70 m long, 1.00 m thick, and 36 m deep, as well as CFA piles of varying diameters in other sections of the project.

This landmark project further strengthens Soletanche Bachy Paraguay’s portfolio in the fields of deep foundations and earth retention systems. It highlights our ability to design and implement reliable, high-performance solutions tailored to the most demanding geotechnical challenges.
