BESSAC celebrates its 50th anniversary!
This year, BESSAC celebrates 50 years of innovation and technical excellence !
Founded in 1975 by Michel BESSAC in Réalmont, in the Tarn region of France, the company has established itself as a key player in the construction of tunnels and microtunnels, as well as in the design and manufacture of tunnel boring machines. Today, it is the last remaining manufacturer of tunnel boring machines in France.
Since its creation, BESSAC has evolved with market demands, adapting to increasingly complex conditions: heterogeneous subsoil, dense urban environments, and reduced environmental impact.
Part of the Soletanche Bachy group since 1990, BESSAC has strengthened its international presence while continuing to produce its “Made in France” machines at its factory in Saint-Jory, near Toulouse.
To celebrate half a century of expertise, the teams organized a grand anniversary celebration in the heart of Paris last June, attended by Xavier HUILLARD (President of VINCI), Pierre ANJOLRAS (CEO of VINCI), Patrick SULLIOT (President of VINCI Construction), Manuel PELTIER (CEO of Soletanche Freyssinet ), and Christophe DAUCHY (CEO of Soletanche Bachy)!
This event also marks the launch of BESSAC’s new website, which went live in early September.
