On 24 February, the Investir la Transition \u00c9cologique (\u201cInvesting in the Ecological Transition\u201d) forum was held at the Grand Palais Eph\u00e9m\u00e8re in Paris, in partnership with Le Moniteur newspaper and the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration National des Travaux Publics (FNTP \u2013 French National Federation of Public Works). During the event, the FNTP presented the innovation awards for the best environmental initiatives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Success for Exegy in its category<\/h2><\/div>

In the \u201cImplementation of low-carbon materials\u201d category,<\/strong> the award was won by Exegy low-carbon grout and concrete solution from Vinci Construction. A great success, shared in by Soletanche Bachy which is also developing the trademark for foundation applications.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

Electric Hydrofraise\u00ae to reduce fuel-oil consumption<\/p>\n

<\/h2><\/div>

The Soletanche Bachy\u2019s Group Technical Department presented the electric Hydrofraise\u00ae in the \u201cSobriety and decarbonisation of machinery\u201d category<\/strong>. This innovation reduces one of our main sources of fuel-oil consumption, which alone is responsible for 90% of our direct CO2 emissions.<\/strong> By powering the machines directly from the electricity network, noise pollution is also reduced by three quarters.<\/p>\n

The circular wall without reinforcement \u2013 the diaphragm wall with sustainable credentials<\/p>\n

<\/h2><\/div>

In the \u201cWorksite Organisation and Logistics\u201d category,<\/strong> the Soletanche Bachy France design office submitted the diaphragm wall with no reinforcement from the L15 Grand Paris Express worksite, which reduces the quantities of steel and concrete needed.<\/strong> This eco-design is the result of collective work. It was not only supported by the Horizon consortium\u2019s partner, but was also validated by the project management, which welcomed this environmental variant.<\/p>\n
