ENPASOL

The ENPASOL 3 (third generation of the Enpasol series) is a real-time system which acquires, prints out and displays processed drilling data.

Enpasol

On a foundations, grouting or soil improvement job site, it provides instantaneously the geotechnical information necessary to the engineer to confirm or amend the project assumptions.

ENPASOL 3 is a complete jobsite working station mounted on the drilling rig and designed for :

  • High capacity : 8 - 10 parameters standard, up to 16 on request.
  • Precision : advanced electronics confers 12 - 16 bit resolution.
  • Versatility : program compatible with different applications for flexibility and adaptability.

ENPASOL 3 peripherals ensure excellent:
  • Communication : user-friendly interactive terminal with keyboard and LCD display.
  • Ease of use : structured menus.
  • Foolproof operation: current configuration saved.
  • Reliability: principal tasks tested during data acquisition with fault alarm.
  • Monitoring: self-test program for routine monitoring and trouble-shooting.

The ENPASOL 3 unit is enclosed in lightweight composite material for excellent impact strength and comfort. The case is designed for ready access to all internal parts.

Dimensions : 555 x 465 x 415 mm
Weight: 28 kg

Transducers and wiring are designed for easy installation and connected through a junction box containing a power supply and signal electronic control system. On the jobsite, the unit is mounted inside a tropical-duty glass fibre chest with foam packing. A similar container houses the transducers and wiring, complete with spares and accessory kit.

ENPASOL 3 supports a high resolution (1728 dots per 216 mm) thermal printer producing quality hard copy stripcharts with multiple layout options :

  • Fully detailed heading with job name, date, hole collar altitude, rig details, etc.
  • Selectable vertical scale marked in metres (depth from ground level or positive/negative elevations).
  • Selectable parameters to be printed out, with scale range option.
  • 1 to 7 single and composite parameters can be printed out as smoothed or as-recorded curves or block charts (full scale split into 6 categories).

Equations specifying composite parameters are simply input via the keyboard,

The whole current configuration is saved and automatically reloaded when the unit is reactivated.

Detailed drilling report showing:
  • Scale changes selected while drilling
  • Smoothing function step on each trace
  • Equations defining composite parameters
  • Time of start/end of run
  • Programmed messages (e.g. mud loss, etc...)
  • User comments input via keyboard

Data stored on 512 Kb memory card for immediate reprint-out or additional process (by ELISE program).
